Myanmar was established as a republic state from their military dictatorship rule as late as 2011. However, it’s geographical location, leading to influences from surrounding nations like China, Indonesia, India, Bangladesh, and erstwhile Burma’s current socio economical stand, attracting business from all over the world, has given its gastronomical standpoint a very global purview. So couple of weeks back, in my visit to this very interesting new land, I decided to gorge in the amazing taste of this land. Rice is their staple food, and their understanding of vegetarian food is quite limited! I met some Indians who were adapting to this complete lack of the usual vegetables. I have showed my journey through pictures of my experiences.
Rice, with a spicy sauce made of garlic, chilli and soya, is one of the most common dishes there.
